Pineapple Avenir Jumpsuit

I am so excited to share this make with all of you! It is so comfortable! Just like secret pajamas!!! We all love those right? I think that it will be super comfortable for many trips to come! Also just nice to lounge in for everyday wear while feeling super cute! I think that the pattern was very easy so this will be a super brief blog post!

I will briefly discuss:

-Fabric choice

-Pattern layout

-Pattern construction

-Pattern fit

-Styling your garment

Fabric Choice: I was gifted this beautiful fabric from Girl Charlee! The quality is so good. It has nice weight and drape but is thicker than a viscose jersey. It is a nice cotton jersey and washes very well. It behaved nicely for this make and I would order more of this quality for other projects as well! There are some other prints available!

Pattern layout: There is nothing complicated about this layout!

Pattern Construction: I didn't have any issues with the directions. Make sure you use a stretch needle of some sort and a walking foot!

On a side note, I think I was a little too rambunctious when it came to sewing the side seams of the bodice with my serger. I think I cut off too much of the seam allowance and didn't pay attention to the actual, required seam allowance. This caused a problem as the waistband did not want to fit to the bodice (the bodice was smaller), so I had to adjust it. Then the waistband did not fit the pants, so I had to adjust those! It was a vicious cycle and kept continuing throughout the garment construction. This ended up also making the garment look a little strange, as the bodice did not drape well and balloon out like it was supposed to! There was not enough width to the bodice to bubble over the waistband! This ended up making it look a little strange! Not to worry, because I added a belt and called it a day! No problem! It is crazy how one little mistake can throw the whole garment off!

Pattern fit: Other than my mishap discussed above, fit was perfect! It is a very relaxed fit and you should have no problems!

Styling: Well, just add a belt and some wedge sandals and you are golden! You can spice it up with changing around your shoes, wearing flats, even Keds or other sneakers. Any hat would look nice and a strapless bra is what I was wearing, but you could easily pop your swimsuit under there!
